HELENA – Despite The Race To The Sky sled-dog event being over, a fundraiser that the mushers believe in is still going strong.
Mushers and volunteers gathered Wednesday night at Exploration Works! to celebrate everyone’s success but the night belonged to 18-year old Jenny Greger, who came in first place in her first 350-mile race.
She said, “Coming into the end, I was looking forward to sleeping and the dogs were just doing amazing, they were chugging along and they were happy, so I was happy.”
Race To The Sky is so involved with dogs that they are fundraising for the United States War Dog Association.
