On this Memorial Day weekend, we all owe a profound debt of gratitude to the brave men and women who have sacrificed to protect this great country. This weekend we remember and honor those who have fallen in their service. That list of names doesn’t just include people. Highly trained dogs play an important role in the modern military and frequently find themselves in life-threatening situations. The United States War Dogs Association operates an online “Wall of Honor” at www.uswardogs.org to remember military dogs who have fallen in the line of duty. They also provide information on adopting military working dogs who have completed their service to our country.
